The website www.venice-carnival-italy.com (including sub-sites and including text, images, videos, software, products, services and other information contained in or presented on the website; all together the "Website") is provided by Venice Events srl, 374 Calle Larga, San Marco 30124-Venice, Italy. The following booking conditions and other details within this website form the basis of your contract with us. They map out our obligations to you, your obligations to us and both of our respective rights.
For clarity ‘You’ means all parties included within a booking. We /Us refers to Venice Events srl.
1. MAKING A BOOKING AND PAYMENT
The package advertised on this web site and any accompanying literature are offers and are subject to availability at time of booking.
Once you have chosen your package and completed your online booking and your credit card or bank transfer has been confirmed and accepted in writing by us our by our online paying system PayPal, our offer and contract exists between both parties. You are authorising us to book the relevant services related to your package and any changes or cancellation after this will incur additional costs. This contract is subject to Italian Law and we both agree that any dispute or claim which arises in connection with this contract will be dealt with by the Italian Courts.
To make a booking you must complete the booking procedure on our web site or via email with one of our consultants. The party leader is responsible for all payments to us but we would recommend that all travelling party members check details of the correspondence between you and us and contact us immediately if there is any variation as it may not be possible to change things at a later date. We request the full amount of the payment at the time of booking to confirm your package. We accept most major credit cards when booking through our on line booking system as well as a bank transfer when booking directly through email. However due to the fees levied on us by the bank of 1% charge will be levied for all credit card payments only.
All payments must be made in full when booking each event.
2. TRAVEL INSURANCE
All travelers with Venice Events srl are required to have adequate travel insurance. Due to the nature of many of our packages you will need to check any existing policies to make sure you are covered. Venice Events srl do not include travel insurance in our packages.
3. PASSPORTS, VISAS
You must ensure that all members of your party have a valid acceptable passport or visas if required when traveling to Italy.
4. THE COST OF YOUR PACKAGE
The prices quoted in our web site are correctly estimated at the time of booking the package as advertised. For tailor-made packages and due to the nature of our service the final cost will not be advised until we have worked with you to create the exact package you require. All prices are quoted in Euros and apply where at least two passengers are travelling. All advertised prices or prices quoted by our staff before booking confirmation are for guidance only and may be subject to change prior to the booking being confirmed.
When booking through Venice Events you are on booking your tickets for the event, no extra services are included and must be booked separately.
5. CANCELLATION AND CHANGES
5.1 Changes by us
We promise to ensure that that the package arrangements you entrust with us both match your expectation and your contractual rights. However from time to time situations may arise which require us to make changes to your booking. In the very unlikely event that we need to make a MAJOR change or indeed cancel your package we will offer you the following options: Accepting the changed arrangements purchase an alternative package from us, of a similar value to that originally booked if available (If less expensive we will refund the difference and if more expensive we would ask you to pay the difference) or Cancelling in which case you will receive a full refund of all monies you have paid to us within 7 working days. If during your stay an activity is cancelled or changed due to unforeseen circumstances resulting in you not being able to undertake the activity then we will offer you an alternative programme of similar value. If you accept this then we will not be in a position to make a refund. If you choose instead to have a refund upon your return then the cost of the activity, less any administration charges, will be repaid within 7 working days of your return. To avoid unnecessary risk to our customers, our colleagues providing the services on your package, and reserve the right to modify the package of any participant who they believe could pose a threat to either themselves or to others if allowed to undertake the activity in question. Venice Events s.a.s. are a booking agent and not responsable for any discrepencies during the events itself. For any complaints Venice Events will put you in touch directly with the supplier.
5.2 Changes by you
Should you wish to make a change to your booking we should be notified in writing as soon as possible by the party leader. While we can offer no guarantees of being able to make any changes this all depends on the supplier of the event or hotel we will endeavour to assist. Where we can an amendment fee of €50 per person will be applied in addition to any cost changes brought about by the change to your booking.
5.3 Cancellation
Cancellations will not be accepted for any bookings after the 1st of November 2019. Cancellations after this date will not be refunded. Changes or cancellation to bookings before this date will be charged at 50 Euro per ticket.
6. EVENTS AND EVENT TICKETS
Cancellation or curtailment of an event is an unusual occurrence and we accept no responsibility to refund or compensate where changes to an event are made for reasons beyond our control. Every effort will be made to offer alternative arrangements and in the unlikely event of cancellation any refund obtained will be passed on to you.
All the organisers reserve the right to cancel or suspend all or part of the events mentioned above for any force majeure. If this is the case the client will receive a full refund from the organisers who will not be held responsible, and no further action or request for loss of moneys will be requested. Venice Events srl are a booking agent and not responsable for any discrepencies during the events itself. For any complaints Venice Events will put you in touch directly with the supplier.
7. FORCE MAJEURE
Very rarely we may be forced to change or terminate your package before or during your holiday. We regret that we cannot accept liability or pay any compensation where the performance of our contractual obligations is prevented or affected by Force Majeure. Force Majeure means any event which we or the supplier of the services in question could not, even with all due care, foresee or avoid. Such events may include war or threat of war, riot, civil strife, terrorist activity, industrial dispute, natural disaster, adverse weather conditions, fire and all similar events outside our control.
8. COMPLAINTS
If you have any complaint or problem whilst away, you must inform us immediately either by contacting us by phone, or via email or in person. We have a local office in Venice and our representatives or the relevant supplier needs to know of any problem as soon as possible to give us the maximum opportunity to rectify it. Any unresolved complaints must be notified to us in writing within 7 days of your return. If you do not notify your complaint at the earliest opportunity and/or formalise your complaint in writing within 7 days of your return, our ability to investigate your complaint will be affected and your right to compensation may be reduced or lost.
9. DATA
We will store and use the personal data supplied by you as part of your booking form for the purposes of fulfilling the contract between us. We will never pass on your information to third parties other than to full fill the contract between us. We will use the information provided to keep you informed of services and special offers that we feel might be of interest to you. Please inform us at the time of booking if you do not wish us to use your information in such ways.
10. TOURS
Venice Events reserves the right to change the price or schedule of their tours at any time, however we always endeavour to provide the services listed, and only under very unusual circumstances would there be any changes.
We cannot be held responsible for bad weather or seasonal closures, traffic delays and transport strikes. It is recommended for all tours, comfortable shoes, suitable attire in particular for entrance to churches ie shoulders and legs covered and please arrive 10 minutes before scheduled departure time.
It is your responsibility to be at the meeting point punctually.
PLEASE NOTE: We can not delay departure times of any of our tours/transfers due to late arrivals and we reserve the right to cancel your reservation if you do not arrive at the meeting point on time. Refunds cannot be provided for non-arrivals.
If you are unsure of meeting points, please do not hesitate to contact us for guidance. No Rucksacks or large bags allowed in Saint Mark's basilica. On very few occasions Saint Mark's Basilica may be closed due to public holidays or high water. To reserve private tours, including walks and boat tours, we require a credit card guarantee at the time of booking. (Visa or Mastercard). Credit card information can be either given by:

Cancellation Policy
Cancellation between 7 - 4 days before tour - 50% of tour price
Less than 3 days, Late arrivals or NO SHOW - 100% charge
It is your responsibility to be at the meeting point punctually
Private Tours
Cancellation between 14 - 8 days before the tour -50% of tour price
Less than 7 - 4 days before the tour - 75% of the tour price
Less than 3 days, Late arrival or NO SHOW - 100% charge
It is your responsibility to be at the meeting point punctually
PayPal Fees for all refunds
If your payment has been made through PayPal fees will be charged and if requesting a refund these the 5% will be deducted from the final balance to be refunded by Venice Events.
Refunds
For all payments made by credit card, which need to be refunded, there will be an administration charge of 10% of the total cost of the tour.
Name changes
Any changes to bookings, including name changes there will be a fixed fee to pay of 30€ per booking.

Disputes Governed by Italian Courts
Tours and contracts with Venice Events are governed by Italian law and in case of dispute jurisdiction is conferred on Italian courts.
Walks and Boat tours
We limit the size of our groups, and therefore we need advance reservations for all tours, this can mean the same day for the above tours, of course subject to availability.
Audio headsets: must be returned to the guide immediately after the tour. We will ask you to sign for these at the start and the end of the tour. Unreturned audio headsets will result in a 100,00 EURO charge to your credit card.
11. JURISICTION
This contract is governed by the Italian Law and is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Italian courts.
